“I’d like for somebody to say that Martin Luther King, Jr., tried to love somebody…
say that I was a drum major for justice…
a drum major for peace…
I just want to leave a committed life behind.”
— Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Dr. King measured his life not by fixing everything, but by commitment — to love, justice, and humanity.
As we honor his legacy today, however you’re feeling, take space to feel it. When you’re ready, let your next step be rooted in love.
May we continue building the Beloved Community together (Etown at the 38th Annual MLK Breakfast).

Thank you, Ubuntu Mentors!!
Watching you show up for your mentees - with patience, heart, and real community care - has been the best part of this fall. You built connections, created space for people to breathe and belong, and lived out I am because we are in everything you did.
Proud of you. Inspired by you.
Can’t wait for what we build together next. 💙
