This afternoon we were on a Soft Lockdown for about 20 minutes due to a situation at East Bladen. Due to our close proximity we chose to shelter in place. At no time was our campus in any danger.

Last week, our students in the Thomas/Rutland Pod learned how to make coil pots inspired by the Indigenous peoples of North Carolina! They had a blast getting creative while connecting their Social Studies lessons to a hands-on pottery experience. 💚✈️

This bus will be hitting the road to support our athletics teams, student excursions, and so many more adventures to come! 🏀🏐⚾️📚

💚Our Charleston Wrap fundraiser is in full swing. All proceeds from this will be added to the Building Fund for the gym/performing arts center. We are getting closer to breaking ground as we are waiting on the engineers to finalize the plans.
💚It is hard to believe we will be completing our first month of school tomorrow. Thank you for working with us about the 3:00 pm arrival time to campus, sending attendance notes within 7 days of the absence, and making sure students are in the correct uniform.
💚Also, thank you to everyone that attended our first curriculum night.
💚Please do not send flowers or balloons to school for students for birthdays or other recognitions. We do not have room in the classrooms to keep them, and they can not be sent home on the buses.
💚We have soccer and volleyball games this week and we are so proud of our teams on their first victories last week.
