Carlson Gracie Junior will be here for a clunic November 15th. As an under belt I trained with him a lot and he (and his father) were my main instructors blue through brown belt. I received my purple and brown belts from him. I learned so much about Jiu-Jitsu from him it is hard to quantify with words. He also taught the single best Judo clinic I've ever attended. From 2002-2005 we were a Carlson Gracie affiliated school. This will be the first time he has visited Elizabethtown. I'm excited for everyone to experience his details.

Schedule of tournaments, seminars and other events we have planned through the rest of the year.
The ADCC and IBJJF are for serious competitors.
UFC BJJ, Fuji, Midwest and NAGA are good ones for serious hobbists and recreational members.
Our white belt tournament is November 7th in the E-town dojo.
We have 2 seminars planned
Carlson Gracie Jr. On November 15th. And Luiz Palhares on December 13th.

Dates and plans are subject to change but these are the dates Josh (me) has some level of committment to making!

Michael "Sambo" Harris taught some knee lever sweeps and combos last night. Was a solid class! The kids at the elementary school have already got me a bit sick. I appreciate having Sambo cover for me and teaching a good class! 🙏🏽

We have several people with 4 stripes on their belt.
1. Once you reach this stage you are responsible for obtaining the appropriate belt requirements sheet.
2. Make sure you know and understand the positions listed. And can demonstrate them with proficiency.
3. Let Josh know you are ready for the test.
4. A time will be agreed upon to perform the test.

If you are only training in no gi classes no stripes or belts will be awarded. No gi is a very small subset of Jiu-Jitsu. Our program is a comprehensive Jiu-Jitsu program that includes the 3 branches of Jiu-Jitsu, self-defense, sport grappling, and free fighting (Vale Tudo).
"TEACH THEM WHAT THEY NEED TO LEARN, NOT WHAT THEY WANT TO LEARN."

The goal: Any blue, purple, brown or black belt from our mats is a blue, purple, brown or black belt on any mat in the world.

Saturday we hosted an open mat team training with our brothers and sisters from Team One Louisville and Wildcat Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu from Franklin. Joe Baize started things off by teaching a few of his specialties. Then people from different places got to roll and socialize . The socializing continued for a few of us at lunch! I appreciate you all and it was fun to be a part of! 🙏🏽
