This week will wrap up our Communication Department's series for this year! This final post will highlight Commencement! Pictured is recent class of 2024 alum, Abigail Lindsay, who graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism.

Commencement is traditionally held at the Dell, and this year will be Etown College’s 122nd Commencement Ceremony. In regards to the Communications Department, our TV station, ECTV-40 , will be livestreaming the event, along with Baccalaureate the night before.

end of the year is approaching! It’s pizza party time!

It is that time of the semester where Communications seniors will be presenting their Communications Capstone Projects! This week’s Communication Department's highlights the COM495 Communications Capstone class, which has been a course that all three Communications majors take during their senior year. For this, students apply all the skills they have learned in previous classes to create a project for a client. This could look like writing various news stories, creating promotional videos for organizations, or helping rebrand a business's website and social media. With great amount of research and the whole semester to complete this client project, students then have presentations reflecting their best practices research findings, pre-production, production, and post-production processes.

This week, we feature photos from previous Capstone presentations. Pictured are Kyle Florey, Faith Morrow, Joanna Shultz, and Erin Moore, who are our class of 2024 Communications alums.

In one week from today, our Digital Media Production, Journalism, and Public Relations seniors will be conducting their Capstone Presentations in the BLR (Steinman 114). Good luck to all of our seniors presenting their Capstones next week!
