Putting in the work at night. We are offering more and more opportunities to train in the dark. We’re looking forward to seeing some of you out at the East Coast Night Shoot November 6-7. We will be running a “jungle walk” again. Also, we will be giving away passes to attend Lodestone courses for free. Get out and train!

One of the new stages this year at the Pennsylvania Light Fighter Challenge was archery. We found these neat “Assassin” Bows made by Alan Odinson that perfectly fit our criteria for the stage. With Mike Travis and EA running that stage, most enjoyed it despite the difficulty. Part of the reason we’ve set up PLFC the way we have is to continually grow our capabilities and skill set.

Tactical Medicine: Level Two
Oct. 10-11
When dealing with emergency trauma management you don’t rise to the occasion, you fall to the level of your training. The mission of Tactical Medicine: Level Two is to take the baseline knowledge of Level One and get you comfortable in the field using it. When the time comes for you to stand between life and death...the muscle memory will be there, and you’ll be ready to be the difference.

You will spend some time refreshing the fundamentals of the M.A.R.C.H. process and then move to hands-on interventions in field conditions. We will then integrate solo and buddy live-fire into the treatment process. Then we will bring it all together, incorporating live-fire drills including individual shooter, buddy movement, and small team tactics with simulated casualties incorporated. You will be able to manage your casualty throughout the phases of treatment.

FN FAL: The Right Arm of the Free World - As you know, we are big fans of the FN FAL. This evening, Basil (with a little input from Jared Ross )is going to go through assembly and disassembly, trouble-shooting, and maintenance. We will be talking some history and explaining why we love this platform so much. There will be multiple examples and students will be able to get their hands on them. Students are also welcome to bring their own if they have them. This is going to be a fun and informative evening.

Our next Sh***un course is coming up November 20-21.
The Day One course is targeted at students who are new to Sh***uns and are looking for a solid foundation to build on. This class offers the perfect opportunity for the student to become familiar with the safe manipulation and utilization of a Sh***un and prepares them to use a Sh***un in the defense of themselves and their family.
The Sh***un Day Two class picks up where Day One left off. The Day Two course starts by reinforcing what was learned in Day One, and then moves on to movement and barricades – both vital areas of knowledge in a gunfight. The day consists of dynamic drills incorporating the lessons learned, and will be physically demanding, with movement in all planes, and the use of cover – some drills will start from the ground, as well.

We just finished up Dynamics of a Gunfight - Day One and Two at AWT LLC in Harrisburg. Two days filled with decision-making under pressure and intense scenarios. Students learned just as much from mistakes as from successes. An essential element was the AAR after each scenario. We will be back at Alpha Wh**ky Tactical October 14th for Law Enforcement Officer CQC Workshop.
