Introducing Miss Reagan😍
We have hired a new teacher since Miss Hannah is on maternity leave. Here is a little bit about her❤️
Dear families,
The health and safety of the children, families, and staff in our childcare program is my highest priority. We would like to make you aware that there have been cases of Parainfluenza Virus Type 3 (HPIV-3), which can cause croup and pnemonia in our childcare.
Parainfluenza viruses are common respiratory viruses that spread through coughing, sneezing, close contact, and contaminated surfaces. Symptoms may include a runny nose, fever, hoarseness, a barking cough, and, in some children, difficulty breathing or the characteristic symptoms of croup.
To help reduce the spread of illness and protect all children in our care, we ask that you follow the guidelines below:
Please keep your child home if they have:
*A fever of 100.4°F or higher along with respiratory symptoms.
*Difficulty breathing, noisy breathing (stridor), or labored breathing.
*A severe barking cough that prevents them from participating comfortably in daily activities.
*Symptoms requiring more care than our staff can safely provide.
*Excessive sleepiness, inability to participate in normal activities, or poor fluid intake.
*Instructions from their healthcare provider to remain home.
Your child may return to childcare when:
*They have been fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
*Their breathing is comfortable, with no stridor or difficulty breathing at rest.
*Their symptoms have been improving for at least 24 hours.
*They are well enough to participate in normal classroom activities without requiring one-on-one care beyond what our staff can reasonably provide. This includes outdoor gross motor play.
Please note that it is common for children recovering from croup or parainfluenza to have a lingering cough for several weeks. A mild residual cough alone does not necessarily prevent a child from returning, provided they meet the return-to-care criteria above. I also may ask for a child to get cleared by a doctor to return to school if I do not feel like this criteria is fully met. This is for the safety of all children and staff❤️
We appreciate your partnership in helping keep our childcare environment as healthy as possible. If your child develops symptoms or is diagnosed with parainfluenza or croup, please notify the center so we can continue to monitor illnesses and take appropriate precautions.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Finally I want to ask for prayers for all of our sick kiddos. This has hit our infant/ toddler room especially hard and we have some babies that really need all of our prayers right now🫶

I will repost this and remind everyone once it is closer to time but I wanted to go ahead and share in case you wanted to buy an outfit for photos during tax free weekend❤️

Miss Laura has been teaching her class all about camping. Checkout the kids painting and creating their lanterns. Once the project was complete Miss Laura read the kids books by the lantern light🏕️. (Just to clarify and avoid possible scrutiny- these are tea lights, not candles🤭)

This weekend reminded me just how fortunate I am to work alongside such an incredible group of people. I couldn't be more proud of my employees for giving their time, working tirelessly in the heat on both Friday and Saturday, and helping make the benefit yard sale a success. Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to serve our community did not go unnoticed by me💪. Thank you all for your commitment and for representing us with such kindness and generosity. ❤️
Getting the kids pumped to send them home for the evening😂😂 Wanted to warn everyone in advance🎶🤣🫶
