Our first graders had a wonderful visit to the library and got a glimpse of all the exciting opportunities that await them next year! Mrs. Juscowitz read them a story, gave them a tour of the library, and introduced them to all the amazing books and resources available. The students had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to returning as second graders! πŸ“šβœ¨πŸ˜Š

After a year of beautiful Mincha davening with Morah Reich, during which the girls focused on the meaningful tefillah of Nishmas, the fifth grade girls celebrated their dedication and growth with a special culminating activity. In recognition of their consistent participation and respectful decorum during Mincha, each student decorated her own lucite Nishmas card to cherish and use for years to come. βœ¨πŸ“–πŸ’™

We had a beautiful Moving Up Luncheon for our fifth graders! Students enjoyed a delicious lunch, heard inspiring words of chizuk and pride from Rabbi Beer, and received pocket siddurim as they prepare for their next chapter in middle school. The celebration concluded with a heartwarming trip down memory lane as students watched a slideshow filled with memories from their years at JEC, beginning all the way back in Nursery!

We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and wish our fifth graders continued success, growth, and much hatzlacha as they move on to middle school.

Primer students had a wonderful time at their First Grade Orientation! The morning began with a discussion led by Rabbi Beer, Morah Reich, Mrs. Bienenfeld, and Dr. Dobin about the similarities and differences between Primer and First Grade. Students even got a sneak peek at their summer homework (we’re hoping for 100% participation!). They then had the opportunity to visit the first grade classrooms, meet the first grade teachers, and participate in fun and engaging first grade activities. It was an exciting glimpse into the year ahead, and we can’t wait to officially welcome these students to the elementary school! πŸŒŸπŸ“šπŸŽ‰

Our Primer students did a fantastic job at their Art Gallery! Throughout the year, they explored a variety of artistic styles, techniques, and famous artists. As they learned, they compiled a year-long portfolio showcasing their growth and creativity. Families enjoyed viewing the beautiful artwork on display and celebrating the students’ hard work, imagination, and artistic accomplishments. We are so proud of our young artists and all they achieved this year! 🎨✨

πŸ¦‹ Kol HaKavod to our amazing Kindergarten Butterflies, who truly blossomed from caterpillars to butterflies over the course of the year! πŸ¦‹

At their beautiful end-of-year play, our students took us on a journey through the Jewish year, taking us all the way back to Rosh Hashana. Through song, performance, and enthusiasm, they showcased all they have learned and how much they have grown.

We are so proud of our Kindergarten students and grateful to their dedicated teachers for helping them spread their wings and soar! πŸ’™βœ¨
