THE SEAT — WHO SITS, RULES

One of the revelations in my book THE SEAT is this: a seat is more than a chair—it represents authority, influence, rulership, position, and jurisdiction.

Throughout Scripture, people sat in places that represented power. Kings sat on thrones. Elders sat in the gates. Judges sat to render decisions. Even spiritual powers seek a “seat” from which they can influence lives, families, cities, and generations.

That is why you must discern who has a seat in your life.

What has been given authority to speak into your mind?
What has been allowed to govern your emotions?
What has been sitting over your finances?
What has been influencing your family?
What has been occupying a place that belongs to God?

Some seats must be vacated.

Some authorities must be removed.

Some voices must be silenced.

Some powers must be unseated.

But here is the good news: Jesus Christ is seated far above all principality, power, might, and dominion (Ephesians 1:20–21), and we have been raised up together and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6).

You do not have to live beneath what Christ has placed beneath His feet.

Know your seat.
Know your authority.
Know who has the right to rule.
