Legacy Academy held its first pep rally of the year this week as students and staff filled the gymnasium. Donning their matching Legacy Academy ethos (Character Community Excellence) shirts, they celebrated school spirit, competed in challenges, and danced their way back to class. The Legacy community is excited that the 2026-2027 school year is officially underway and is looking forward to what’s to come.

Hello Legacy Families!

To our new families: Welcome. To our returning families: Welcome back. Thank you for your support of Legacy and thank you for trusting us with the education of your children. It has been a great summer, and I hope everyone is ready to get rolling for the 2026-27 school year. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing and meeting many of you on Friday night for our Back to School Night. It will truly be a great year with a lot happening at Legacy.

A carpool map is included with this letter to show you the flow of our drop off and pick up. Please, please, please be patient and courteous with our staff and other parents dropping off or picking up. We have a lot of new families and it may take them a little time to learn how we do things. Having said that, we will also need to be flexible this year with change and construction. One of those flexibilities may have to be with our carpool. We will see how it runs and make adjustments as necessary, so be prepared if and when that needs to happen. One recommendation I can make is to try your best not to be here too early for afternoon carpool. Part of what gets us backed up on Highway 86 is waiting in line before the carpool starts and cars start moving. For safety reasons, we would like cars to avoid sitting on 86 as much as we can. Once we start and cars are moving, this is much easier to manage. The carpool line will start moving at 3:15 and once it starts, we can get through if fairly quick. If you are missing your carpool number, please come in during the day to the front office.

Tomorrow will be a fantastic first day. There are a lot of new staff, but I will say that after working with them for the last week and a half, they are amazing people and will fit right in at our school. Your students will love working with them and learning from them. During the interview process, all of them were wanting to join our team because they saw the value we put in Character, Community, and Excellence.
