Our Mustangs have been busy serving the community!

Fall student-athletes and members of the Student Life Team recently volunteered at the Food Bank of the Albemarle. Students from men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, and golf worked together to pack 175 boxes and bag just under 3,000 pounds of potatoes! 🥔🙌

We’re proud of our students for giving their time, working hard, and making a difference right here in our community. Go Mustangs! 🧡

Our Mustangs were back out in the community, this time lending a hand at Pasquotank Animal Services! 🐾

Fall student-athletes from golf, men’s and women’s soccer, and volleyball joined members of the Student Life Team to help with projects all around the shelter. They cleaned up the yard, pulled weeds, walked dogs, socialized with the animals, cleaned indoor spaces, and even made enrichment activities for the dogs and cats.

A great day of teamwork, service, and plenty of time with some four-legged friends! 🐶🐱🧡

The Student Life Team has been out in the community giving back and having a little fun along the way! 💚🧡

Recently, the team volunteered at Texas Roadhouse - Elizabeth City, NC for their Back to School Bash. They spent time playing games with the kids, sharing more about MACU, passing out suckers, and even competing in a mascot race, where our Mustang brought home 2nd place! 🐎🏆

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to serve our community, make new connections, and represent MACU beyond campus.

Today was a huge milestone for our newest Mustangs as they gathered with our community to officially begin our 77th academic year.

Convocation is a special tradition that welcomes our incoming students into this next chapter of their lives, surrounded by the faculty, staff, and campus community who will walk alongside them throughout their time at MACU. This year's message called our students to "Stay Close to Jesus" as they navigate their futures. The morning included worship with music led by our student worship team, encouragement, and a message from our keynote speaker, Mike Wise, LCDR, U.S. Navy (Ret.), and minister at Poplar Chapel Church of Christ.
We are so excited to welcome the Class of 2030 into the fold of our family and look forward to watching them learn, grow, build lasting friendships, and make this campus feel like home. Continue to pray for our students, faculty, staff, coaches, and their families as we start another incredible year as Mustangs!💚🧡

Ed and Barbara served in a variety of positions through the years, dorm parents, cafeteria, bookstore, and ultimately Ed was an active member on the MACU Foundation. Please pray for Barbara, Paige and Robin (daughters), and their entire family.

Ed Griffin passed away yesterday, Sunday, August 16.
He was a man of many talents and he shared them for years with RBC/MACU.

Orientation was pretty sweet, but now it’s officially time to kick off the semester! We hope our new and returning students have had an amazing first day of classes and are ready for everything this year has in store.

One of the coolest perks of campus life at MACU? The river is right in our backyard! 🛶☀️

Students have access to kayaks and paddle boards, making it easy to get out on the Pasquotank River, enjoy some time on the water, and take advantage of one of the best parts of our waterfront campus.

Grab a friend, pick your paddle, and get out on the river! 💚🧡
