🍎 Professor Spotlight: Kathy Smith

Meet Kathy Smith, MACU’s Learning Enrichment Director and a familiar face for students looking for a little extra academic support along the way. Through Learning Services, Kathy helps students with areas like tutoring, classroom assistance, and other resources designed to help them succeed academically.

Kathy has been part of the MACU community for years, serving students both in and beyond the classroom. Her background includes English composition, creative writing, and learning enhancement, along with a heart for encouraging students throughout their college experience.

We’re thankful for faculty and staff like Kathy who invest in our students and help make MACU such a supportive place to learn and grow.

A lot can change over the years, and that’s exactly what we wanted to hear about! 🧡💚

During Homecoming, we asked our alumni what has changed the most at MACU since their time as students.

We heard plenty about how campus has grown and changed, but one answer came up again and again: the thing that hasn’t changed is the sense of family.

That connection, community, and feeling of belonging is something generations of MACU students continue to share, and we loved hearing our alumni reflect on it while they were back on campus.

We’re celebrating the ministers, leaders, and individuals who make a difference in our churches and communities! 🧡💚

Join us at Mid-Atlantic Christian University on November 5th for our Ministers Appreciation Breakfast, sponsored by Financial Planning Ministry (FPM)!

🧇 Enjoy a delicious chicken & waffle bar while learning about biblical stewardship, generosity, and the importance of planning for the future. FPM is a national leader in helping individuals and families create plans that honor God and leave a lasting legacy.

The best part? After this educational event and breakfast, you'll have the opportunity to get your will and trust completed at no out-of-pocket cost! Whether you have a little or a lot, everyone needs a plan.

We warmly invite our MACU faculty and staff, Board of Trustees, Foundation Board members, and local ministry leaders to take advantage of this opportunity. It's a valuable personal and employee benefit and a chance to learn how planned giving can support future Kingdom work at MACU and beyond.
