Fresh pizza pies from the kiln, music and dancing, what could be a better way to support arts education? Join us this Saturday, July 25 from 5 to 8 PM. Suggested donation of $10. The night will include musical guests, Satigata, bouncy house for the kids, and a beautiful evening set on the property of sanctuary arts. Proceeds support the school‘s scholarship fund, which helps all in need access art education. Bring your friends and family. See you there.

Sean Beavers returns with En Plein Air Landscape Painting Workshop, a 4 - day intensive. Sean begins with an in-studio discussion of materials and techniques and demonstrates his expertise with the challenges of plein air painting. Students then travel to a variety of sites as they learn to capture the essence of the seacoast in paint.

Margaret Dwyer will be teaching 2 one day workshops this Summer- Gifts from the Ocean; Cool Watercolor Techniques and Watercolor: Gifts from the Garden. She has been a featured watercolorist in fine art magazines such as “American Artist”, “Artist Magazine”, “Manhattan Arts”, and as a showcase award winner in “Southwest Art”.

This summer I am happy new instructor Robert Labranche will be teaching Monotype & the Abstract Landscape (SA 8) for 4 Weeks on Thursday afternoons from June 18 – July 9. Robert has an MFA in painting from the University of New Hampshire and is a former Adjunct Instructor of Studio Art at Maine College of Art & Design, and at The University of New Hampshire. Robert’s work has been exhibited throughout New England including in Boston, Portland, Portsmouth, York, Kittery, and most recently in Santa Cruz California. Robert’s studio practice includes painting - in both oils and acrylics, monotype, and woodcut printmaking.

Anthony Alemany, in his Sculpting the Hands & Feet (SA 17) class, helps students focus on the most expressive and challenging aspects of the human form. Exploring structure, anatomy, gesture and rhythm, students will learn to observe, interpret and sculpt the hands and feet with confidence and sensitivity.
