Congratulations to our Elida boys 4 X 200 team who just finished 4th at the State meet! We're so proud of these young athletes on great performances this season and taking 4th place! Great job Elisha Reddick, Joseph Reddick, Larry Smith and Cam Kaufman. Well done!

Congratulations Arwen Troyer! She is moving onto State!!! Arwen will compete in Division II State Meet June 7th at 1pm. Not only did she qualify for state but she broke a 33 year old school record!!!

Rylen Holmen broke not one, but two records at the invitational last night!! 🤩

In the 200m dash, she ran a time of 29.11s! The record was previously held by Isabella DeVoe with a time of 29.41s, since 2024.

And in the 400m Dash, she crushed the record that’s been held since 2019!!! Rylen ran it in 1:07.52 with the previous record of 1:11.15 held by Atlanta Arledge.

Amazing job Rylen! She’s a track star and her future is bright! 💫

Another record was broken at our invitational!! 🏆

Grant Kivimaki threw a distance of 29 feet, 9 inches in the 5th/6th boys Shot Put. The record has been held by Braeden Spurlin 28 feet 5.75 inches since 2022.

Congratulations to Kody Cox for beating the record for the 3rd/4th boys 1600m run. That’s a mile folks!

He ran it in 6:26.14! The record has been held by Coda Miller with a time of 6:39 since 2016!

Elida proved they were competitors at the invitational last night. So many top 3 finishes, new PR’s and pretty sure some new BYAA records were broken! So proud of our team!

Invitational athletes: Gates open at 5. Field events start at 5:30 and Running at 6. Please try to be there by 5pm to check in and warm up.

Families: Cost is $2/person or $5/family for entry. Kids 5 and under are free.

At home base there will be bottled water, Gatorade and popsicles. Concessions will be available.

If your middle school student is interested in running cross country this fall, conditioning will begin in July and the official season starts in August! Practices will run after school with most meets on Saturdays. A current physical is required for all athletes including summer conditioning.
