Congratulations to Mr. Heugh on his retirement and his move to Colorado to be closer to family.

Mr. Heugh first began training waaaay back in the day, and although life took him on a different path for a time, his martial arts journey was far from over. He returned to the academy in 2019 with the same passion and determination that first brought him to the mat, culminating in earning his 3rd Degree Black Belt in November 2025.

Throughout his time with us, Mr. Heugh has been much more than a student. He was a mentor, a role model, and a steady presence who generously shared his knowledge with students of all ages. Whether assisting in class, encouraging a new student, or leading by example, he made a lasting impact on our academy and everyone fortunate enough to train alongside him.

While we’re sad to see him go, we’re excited for this new chapter and grateful for everything he’s contributed over the years.

Thank you, Mr. Heugh, for your friendship, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Kyuki-Do family. We wish you and your family happiness, good health, and continued success in Colorado.
