Spartan Project: Student Entrepreneurship Club at Elgin Community College

So exciting to see this interesting author in Elgin. You won't want to miss him. His personal success story is amazing.

This year's contests were virtual. Four students competed for ECC: Tom and John Limberis (Welding) and Tara Julison and Rosa Lopez (Customer Service). Both groups took Gold and Silver at State. John and Tara then competed at the National Level.

At Elgin Community College we are preparing for the 2023 Illinois State Leadership and Skills Conference in late April. Some students are already signed up for qualifying exams: Cabinetmaking, Criminal Justice, Education, Welding, and Welding Fabrication. Not all contests require pre-qualifications, so we hope to have more students signed up these next couple of weeks for more events, such as Customer Service, Cybersecurity (team of two), two more Education events, Entrepreneurship, Robotics, and more. We are so excited. Spartan Project: Pitch Competition & Entrepreneurial Event is this Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Elgin Community College's Main Campus, Spartan Auditorium and in Zoom.

Run is Back!!!!

This 5k Fun Run/Walk is sponsored by Kenyon Farm Running Club and will benefit the YWCA Elgin's Clothing Distribution Center.

This event will be held at 8:30 am on Sunday, November 13th. The starting point for the 5k Fun Run/Walk is The Village Tavern, located at 464 Redington Drive in South Elgin, IL.

Registration is not required in advance just bring a pack of brand-new "un**es" the day of.
