Fire Safety Week in the Lower Library! Mrs. Salyer's class dressed up as firefighters, put out fires around town, found hidden pictures in a fire scene , colored by number, built fire trucks and firefighters out of legos, put together fire truck puzzles, created with blocks, read stories about firefighters, and checked out books! It was a great way to spend the week before fall break!

It's Cooking and Food Week in the Library! Mrs. Moore's class shopped for ingredients in the grocery store, created delicious dishes in the kitchen, baked mouth-watering goodies in the bakery, and completed a donut puzzle! All students were able to participate in these activities, plus listen to one of the Food Group books by Jory John (Bad Seed, Good Egg, Sour Grape, etc). As always, we checked out books and learned through play! It was one of the most fun weeks of the year!

This week we are exploring apples, leaves, and all things fall in the Lower Library! Mrs. McClure's class found hidden items in fall themed pictures, raked and scooped leaves, put together fall puzzles, used plastic leaves to build a balanced tree, color coordinated acorns to the right trees, placed the correct amount of apples on each tree, checked out books, read in the comfy chairs, matched shapes to openings in an apple, and had free play with apples. It was an amazing week!
