March 1, 2026 is the deadline for submitting your nominations for the EHS Distinguished Alumni Awards.

💜I hope you will mark your calendar for next year’s EHS Purple and White Jubilee! We have made the decision to have it again next year on Saturday, June 27th, 2026. It will be the same hours, same music, same location, but no program or speeches. Instead, we will have the announcement of EHS Distinguished Alumni immediately following the parade at 12:00 noon. This ceremony will be at the original EHS High School in the auditorium ( Administration Building), if possible. More information will be coming on how to nominate your candidate. A new and separate committee will be established to make these selections. There is time in the evening for individual class reunions, going to dinner with friends or to enjoy Elgin’s live music venues . Why not make your hotel reservations and stay the night?💜
Once again, everyone is included- former EHS students, graduates, teachers and administrators, EHS former transportation, maintenance, custodial employees and of course parents!

THANK YOU!
On behalf of the Elgin Alumni Association’s Purple and White Jubilee Committee, we would like to thank everyone for their help and support. Alumni from all over came into town to have a good time, visit with old friends, and support the school district that has had such an influence on their lives.
Special thanks go to Mike Carter and his crew of volunteers from the Elgin School District and the Elgin Fire Department, Kay Rivers Kidd and Friends, the Elgin ISD School District, the City of Elgin, Elgin ISD Foundation, Elgin Chamber of Commerce, Elgin Main Street Board, Elgin Courier, Leo Sound, Ron Leps, Railroad Ranch, Maxine’s Catering, Powell’s Printery, Meyers Sausage, Casey Carter Roberts & her class of students from First Baptist Church of Elgin and Carmelita Perez & Gracie Altobelli from EHS National Honor Society. Also, thank you to Angie Carter, Janis Cartwright, Donna Keeling, Brenda Cardwell, Gloria Meeker Sundeen, Rhonda Lundgren Moore, Jackie Moore, and Rebecca Taylor Martin.
Congratulations to our Distinguished Alumni: T. Berry-Washington High School Class of 1966, Kim Fromme-EHS Class of 1973, Harry Krenek-EHS Class of 1959, and Dwight Lind-EHS Class of 1953 who have made us all proud. Also, congratulations to Don Hudson who received the Distinguished Service Award for his many years of dedication and work for the Elgin ISD students. Thank you to each of you.
The 2015 Jubilee was very successful. We appreciate your generous donations which will help fund future jubilees.
