We are sharing some exciting news.
Joseph Johnson, a graduate from St. Mary School and a lifelong parishioner, had the incredible opportunity to meet Pope Leo alongside his fellow seminarians from St. John Vianney Seminary. This meeting took place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026
Joseph recently spent a semester studying in Rome in the spring of 2026, and the experience culminated in this memorable meeting. In the attached picture, you’ll notice Joseph on the right side, standing directly behind Pope Leo, alongside his classmates.
This was a profound moment for all the seminarians and a significant milestone in their journey.
May God bless and protect these and all seminarians.

Congratulations to the St. Mary Titans Class of 2026! As you begin this next chapter, always keep God at the center of everything you do, and you will never walk alone. This class has cheered each other on, celebrated milestones together, lifted one another up in prayer, and grown in faith side by side throughout the years. While each student now begins a new journey and follows the path God has planned for them, the friendships, memories, and foundation built at St. Mary will always remain close to their hearts. We know they leave St. Mary well prepared, faith filled, and ready to shine God’s light in the world. As they go forward, may they continue to lead with courage, kindness, humility, and trust in God’s plan, knowing they will always have a home and family here at St. Mary. May the Lord guide, protect, and bless each of you in all that lies ahead. Once a Titan, always a Titan! 💙💛

We were honored to welcome percussionist Mr. Michael Folker from the Elgin Symphony Orchestra yesterday as part of our valued partnership with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra. Students enjoyed learning about and hearing instruments including the snare drum, talking drum, Udu drum, tambourine, gong, and Ireland drum.
Experiences like these are just one example of why the fine arts program at St. Mary Catholic School in Elgin is so well respected throughout the Elgin area.

Our students earned a trip to the local park after our school community surpassed our goal in the HundredX Campaign! With perfect weather, students enjoyed the playground, wiffle ball, basketball, volleyball, and time with friends. We truly enjoyed the beautiful day the Lord gave us and are so grateful for the support that made this special reward possible. Lots of fun and great memories for all!
