It’s good to have our students back to work! Watch today’s reel to see Tatanka get dropped in her new spot. She was built using 500lbs of scrap metal for Nucor’s Ken Iverson Project. The history of the American Bison is representative for all of Putnam County which is how the idea of building Tatanka formed from the challenge of the build showing “Hometown Pride.” We are proud to serve all of Putnam County and Tatanka belongs to all of us!
Welding got 2nd Place on this project against tough competition and we’re happy she found a place to be displayed! Check her out when you come by!

STUDENTS CAN SERVE AS POLL WORKERS in the November General Election. For the first time WV high school juniors and seniors have the opportunity to be poll workers. As National Poll Worker Recruitment Day approaches on August 11, WV Secretary of State Kris Warner is encouraging students and community members to get involved in the election process. Stop by the State Capitol on Tuesday, August 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to sign up to be an election worker or visit GoVoteWV.com to learn more.
