We are SO excited to welcome Aaliyah to The Movement Collective! 🖤 We know you’re going to love her just as much as we do, and we can’t wait for you all to get to know her!

Hi everyone! My name is Aaliyah, and I’m excited to be moving to the Quad Cities area from DeKalb, Illinois! I have about 10 years of dance experience, training at Northern Illinois Dance Center, Clinton Rosette Middle School, and Ovation Performing Arts Studio. I was also a varsity cheerleader at DeKalb High School and have experience coaching both elementary and middle school cheer and dance. For the past five years, I’ve also returned to my old middle school to help my aunt, who was my coach, choreograph routines for future teams. I have experience in jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and contemporary, with contemporary and jazz being my favorite styles. I can’t wait to begin this next chapter, share my love for dance, and inspire the next generation of dancers! My biggest goal as a teacher is to create a welcoming environment where every dancer feels confident, comfortable in their own body, and free to express themselves through dance. 💕
