Mustang Packs Eldon School District The Mustang Pack program works to provide nutritious food to those students who might go without on We're lucky to have them!

The Mustang Pack Program is a self-funded weekend food program in Eldon, Missouri. The program is funded through grants and donations (both cash and in-kind) from the community. We would not be able to function without the generous support of our volunteers and community. Each week, students from our Alternative High School, Mustang Academy, pack bags of food for delivery. Each pack has two entree

items, two breakfast items, two fruits/vegetables, two snacks, and, once a month, a jar of peanut butter. Volunteers deliver totes full of packs to the schools. School staff and more volunteers distribute the packs for students to take home with them on Fridays. Just like resources to The Well Rural Resource in Iberia, the Miller County Health Center has provided funding for our Eldon Mustang Packs for as long as funds have been available. We are thankful for the continued support and vision of the Board members to address the food insecurity issues in our county, especially impacting our youth.

We have dedicated resources to address food insecurities in Miller County. We are happy to help our school’s buddy pack programs and all of the County’s food pantries including The Well Rural Resource in Iberia.

The Well has been an amazing partner and recipient of our Wellness Grants for six straight years totaling approximately $100,000 for vegetables, fruit, dairy, and other healthier options to distribute to those in need. Support them by visiting their thrift store, full of amazing and unique items, in downtown Iberia!
