The 4th graders tried to solve a mysterious Thanksgiving themed "escape room" by using reading and math to try and guess the location of the prize box. What a fun activity to put the skills they are learning to the test!

Congratulations to the following high school girls selected for the South-Central KMEA - Mixed Choir: Kessa Case - Soprano 1, Atiera Langenberg - Alto 1, and Kate Roseberry - Soprano 2. In addition, Kaitlyn Schanbacher - Soprano 2, was selected to the South-Central KMEA Treble Choir. All four girls will perform on December 3 at the SCKMEA Honor group in Wichita. Way to go, ladies!

Congratulations to the following Berean JH students selected for the KMEA Middle-Level All-State Choir: Nayu Lee, Madison Nickel, and alternate Ivy Busenitz. They will perform at the KMEA Convention on Friday, February 24. Great job, ladies!
The third-grade students are studying early America, the first presidents, how our government began, and the difference between primary and secondary sources. To follow up on their studies, they traveled to the Museum of World Treasures to see historical artifacts and learn more about colonial life in America. Thank you, Miss Jantz, for planning the trip, our bus driver, and the parents who came to enjoy a day full of history with us!

The 3rd and 4th-grade students took a trip to Wichita to enjoy the Wichita Symphony Young Peoples Concert on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. The concert featured the story and music of composer George Gershwin! Thank you, Mrs. Boettcher, for organizing the trip, our bus driver, and the parents who came to enjoy the concert!

The Berean Carnival was held on Friday, November 4, 2022. Elementary students voted for the teachers they wanted to see have their hair made Krazy and their faces painted each morning leading to the carnival. We tallied the votes, and the winner was Principal Nord! She had extra special help from some of her second-grade students. Thank you for being a good sport, Principal Nord, and to the parents and students who participated and raised $62 for the elementary department. What a fun way to fundraise!

The elementary students had their second Reading Emphasis rally yesterday, November 3. We had 120 students who completed the reading challenge for October, with the 1st grade reaching the Grand Canyon first. To celebrate the start of the November challenge, students came wearing eyewear to enjoy their pit stop at the Grand Canyon. The road trip continues with more reading! Thank you, parents and teachers, for continuing to encourage reading!

Berean Academy students filled the halls this afternoon to cheer and pray over our runners participating in the 2A State Cross Country Meet in Wamego tomorrow, October 29, 2022! Praying for our Warriors and for Lord’s peace as they run their race. To God be all the glory!

The first-grade class enjoyed time at P&M Pumpkin Patch on Wednesday, October 26. Not only did they have lots of fun, but they also got to learn about a pumpkin's growth cycle, which correlates with their science chapter on plants and seasons. The fall season is here, and what better way to enjoy it than at the pumpkin patch with friends! Thank you, Mrs. Entz, our bus driver, and all our parents who came to enjoy the day together!
Spiritual Emphasis Week begins for our High School students next week, November 2-4. Dave Hintz is our guest speaker this year! Please pray for Mr. Hintz as he prepares to speak to our students and also for our students' hearts and the spiritual growth the Lord has for them.
