✏️💕 Learning Through Play in Pre-K! 💕👗

Our Pre-K students are working hard on their fine motor skills as they practice drawing, writing, and using their little hands to build strength, coordination, and independence! Every line, shape, and mark is a step toward becoming confident writers. 🖍️✍️

We also have two little ladies who are all dressed up and ready for church! ⛪💗 It’s so sweet to see their imaginations shine through pretend play as they dress up, express themselves, and have fun with their friends.

Learning, growing, creating, and making precious memories every day! 🥰🌈

🏎️💨 Vroom vroom! Tiny engineers at work! 🛠️✨

Our amazing Bobcats traded their textbooks for toolkits today to design and build their very own race track! From designing tricky twists and turns to testing out maximum speed, their creativity and teamwork were on full display. 🚗💨

Seeing their bright eyes light up as their cars zoomed across the finish line was pure magic! 🎉 Blueprints today, building the future tomorrow. 🌟

🏠📚 Digital Learning Day continues at HOME! 📚🏠

Learning doesn't stop at our classroom door! Here are some fun activities our Little Bobcats can do at home.. no tablet required! 🙌

🔍 At-Home Scavenger Hunt Ideas:

Find and Count Numbers Fall items.. 🍂
Find something that starts with the letter A, B, C , D 🔡
Find something soft, something bumpy, and something smooth ✋
Find a circle, a square, and a triangle 🔺🔵
Find 5 things smaller than your hand! ✋
Find something you use in the kitchen, bathroom, AND bedroom 🏠
📚 More Learning Fun:

Read a story together — point to the words as you read!
Sing your favorite ABC or counting song in the car 🎵
Practice writing your name with crayons, markers, or even in shaving cream!
Sort socks by color while folding laundry 🧦
Count the steps as you walk up and down stairs 🚶

📸 PARENTS — post a photo in the comments of your Bobcat on their scavenger hunt or doing an activity! We want to see that learning-in-action! ⬇️

CURIOUS CONVERSATIONS: The Screen-Dopamine Cycle

Following our earlier post exploring why switching off screens can feel so difficult for children, this Curious Conversations version is designed to help you take that understanding one step further.

Helping children understand what is happening in their own brains.

Rather than simply telling a child that they have had enough screen time, we can help them explore WHY stopping can feel difficult, why other activities might seem less appealing afterwards, and how finding a healthy balance can help.

This child-friendly visual provides a starting point for conversations with your young person, using accessible language to explore dopamine, rewards and the importance of giving our brains a variety of experiences.

It is not about making children feel guilty for enjoying screens. It is about building awareness, understanding and the skills to manage transitions.

Because when children understand the WHY, they are better equipped to work on the HOW.

Save this resource and use it to start a conversation when your child is calm and receptive, rather than in the middle of a difficult transition.

🎉🐾 Georgia Pre-K Week Ends with the BEST Pep Rally Ever! 🐾🎉
What better way to close out an amazing week than with a pep rally featuring our favorite EC Blue Devils?! 💙

The ECCHS Blue Devils showed up and SHOWED OUT for our Little Bobcats! The energy was off the charts as the:

🎶 Band filled the gym with Blue Devil spirit!
📣 Cheerleaders had everyone on their feet!
🏈 Football players high-fived their biggest little fans!
✨ Majorettes twirled and wowed the crowd!
🎨 Color Guard brought the spirit and the sparkle!

And then... the moment everyone was waiting for: the "Wiggle Dance" challenge — Pre-K vs. the BD Football Team! 🕺💃

We are happy to report... PRE-K TOOK HOME THE WIN! 🏆 Those little Bobcats had moves the big Devil's just couldn't match! 😂 The laughter and cheers filled the room — and a rivalry was born! 💙

Our Little Bobcats cheered, danced, and waved — getting a firsthand look at what being a Blue Devil is all about! Who knows — some of these little faces may be the ones in the band, on the field, and under the Friday night lights one day! 💙

Thank you, ECCHS, for showing our youngest learners what school pride, teamwork, and community look like — and for being such good sports! What a way to end Georgia Pre-K Week! 🎉
