We currently do not have any power in some areas in the Granite Bowl due to a blown transmitter in the parking lot behind the courthouse! However, lights are working and game is happening. Our Blue Devil News Network and 105.3 WSGC will be back on broadcasting the game when and if power comes back on in the pressbox. 💙🤘

So excited for Agriculture Instructor Emma Huff and her Floral Design curriculum she will be bringing into her Horticulture class this semester. She and her students have hit the ground running setting up the lab by refurbishing old work tables, moving in a floral cooler, gathering recycled vases, and creating a ribbon organization area with help from Instructor Casey Freeman and his welding students. Can’t wait to see the students creative work with the first projects for teachers! 💙🤘

Today was part of the “Budgeting 101” activity with Instructor Deana Crook’s Money & Me students as they were required to figure out how to make budgets for the month with a certain amount of money. Loved seeing Sophomore Audrey Umble showing her personalized “dollars”!!

Our Work Based Learning Student of the Week is Junior Olivia Paramore. Olivia works with Elbert County's School Nutrition Program and is responsible for the new "Breakfast in the Gym" program. Her mentors say she is going a fantastic job at encouraging her peers to eat breakfast in order to "fuel their day" as well as super smart and detail oriented to ensure that all ESDA rules and regulations are followed. Great time tonight at our first Teacher Tailgate at the Lady Devils Volleyball game. Our girls came out with two wins against BASA and Washington Wilkes. It was also great to celebrate our two seniors Melanie Badillo and Samantha Mize. Proud of our young team who really showed out tonight…and LOVE our teachers!!

This will be our typical week as we go forward for our Audio/Video classes at ECCHS. Be on the lookout on our page and our Youtube Channel (link to follow later). Things are subject to change obviously depending on schedule changes from week to week.

Also, these productions can be watched on Channel 9 if you have Elberton.Net. A lot of big things going on in our A/V Classes so share our page with others so we can get this information out to as many people as possible and showcase what our kids are doing on a daily basis!!

For this week...
We will send out the Andy Dyer Football Show tomorrow (9/2) and our first episode of the Elberton Minute will actually go out this Thursday (9/3)!

Inside Elbert County Schools will be recorded and produced within the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for that as well.
