From the field to our community!

Today, our students rolled up their sleeves and put service into action! Through our partnership with Feed the Gulf Coast, our students spent 6 hours harvesting and shelling fresh Pinkeye Purple Hull peas to help provide food for local families.

Together, they prepared 66 two-pound bags — 132 pounds of fresh peas!

The peas were then delivered to Baldwin County Angels, where they will help serve members of our community. Our students also assembled Hygiene Care Bags, adding another meaningful way to care for our neighbors.

We are incredibly proud of the time, teamwork, and compassion our students showed today. Experiences like this remind us that learning goes far beyond the classroom — it’s about serving others, building community, and making a difference.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the families forever changed by September 11, 2001.

In agriculture, we understand the strength of community, service, and standing together during difficult times. May we always remember the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day.

🇺🇸 We will never forget. 🇺🇸
