Re: Support for the Elaine Alumni Building
Dear Alumni and Friends,
We are writing to update you on the status of the Elaine Alumni Building, formerly Elaine High School. This historic landmark was entrusted to the Elaine Alumni Association during the school consolidation, and it continues to hold deep meaning for all who walked its halls.
We want to express sincere appreciation to the Williams family—Clyde, Elnora, Candace—Julian Watson and others for their dedication in helping maintain the building during this transition. Their efforts have kept the facility accessible and functioning. At the same time, we affirm that the building belongs to the entire Elaine alumni community. Its preservation and future depend on all of us working together.
Our vision is to fully restore the facility so it can once again serve as a center for the community — a place for gatherings, educational programs, youth activities, reunions, and future alumni events. We believe this building can once again become a cornerstone of pride and progress for the people of Elaine.
This effort belongs to all of us — the alumni, families, and friends who share a deep connection to Elaine High School and to the town that shaped us. Together, we can preserve our history and create new opportunities for generations to come.
However, the building faces urgent needs, including repairs to the roof, flooring, and doors, as well as ongoing monthly utility expenses. To protect this treasured space and ensure it remains standing for future Panthers, we need your support now more than ever.
We are asking each alumni and supporter to make a donation—at any level—to help sustain and restore the building. Every contribution matters and directly supports the future of our community landmark. Please note that the Alumni fee is $125 annually for preservation efforts.

We will continue to provide updates regarding membership dues, fundraising events, and renovation progress. Transparency and community collaboration remain at the heart of everything we do.
