Associate degrees are on the rise in Oklahoma.

Holding an associate degree is projected to rise through 2030. By combining an associate degree with technical training, students can see a quick and strengthened path into the workforce.

Redlands is currently working with 11 career technology centers "to provide a solid, accessible education to students that prepares them to quickly enter the workforce with the knowledge and skills that businesses require,” said Jena Marr, president of Redlands Community College. The college's partnership with the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education has increased graduates' abilities to advance their careers or continue their education.

Tori Davis explains how scary it felt being a first-generation college student as an adult.

Experiences like hers are similar to many first-generation students. But in her words: "... it was just kind of feeling like an imposter and then finally deciding like, no, you belong. You can do this."
