We were excited to welcome Congressman Kevin Hern to Redlands Community College last week!

During his visit, we shared Redlands’ historic fall 2026 enrollment growth and highlighted our outstanding Agriculture program and award-winning livestock judging, beef, and shooting sports teams.

We also showcased our drone technology program and the opportunities it provides for students to develop skills in this growing field.

We are grateful to Congressman Hern for taking the time to visit our campus and learn more about the exciting things happening at Redlands!

On Friday, we traveled to Tulsa Community College for the annual Oklahoma Association of Community Colleges Conference!

This event is always a wonderful opportunity to bring together faculty, staff, and administrators from across the state to network, learn from one another, and celebrate the incredible work happening at Oklahoma’s community colleges.

One of my favorite parts of the conference is the opportunity to recognize outstanding employees from each campus. I was especially proud to celebrate three exceptional members of the Redlands Community College team:

⭐ Erin Karl – Outstanding Faculty
⭐ Brady Leck – Outstanding Professional Staff
⭐ Valerie Black – Outstanding Support Staff

And the Redlands recognition didn’t stop there! Our very own Bethany Holley-Griffith received the Great Ideas for Teaching Award! Congratulations, Bethany, on this well-deserved recognition and for the creativity and dedication you bring to the classroom and our students!

Each of these individuals represents the dedication, professionalism, and commitment to students that makes Redlands such a special place.

And as you can see from our group photo, Redlands was very well represented!

Time to celebrate! Redlands has reached an all-time enrollment high!

This fall, Redlands Community College welcomed 2,684 students, a 12.2% increase over last year and the highest enrollment in our nearly 90-year history!

We are also celebrating:

> All-time high for first-time college students
> 23% increase in sophomore enrollment
> 16.1% increase in concurrent enrollment

These numbers represent far more than growth. They represent students pursuing their goals, families placing their trust in Redlands, and a community that believes in the life-changing power of education.

I am incredibly proud of our faculty and staff, whose dedication, personalized support, and commitment to student success make milestones like this possible. With tuition and mandatory fees frozen for the ninth consecutive year, Redlands remains committed to providing an affordable, high-quality education while preparing students to continue their education or enter Oklahoma’s workforce.

The momentum at Redlands is real, and we are moving forward with meaning!

What an incredible honor for Redlands Community College!

Last night, Redlands was recognized by The Journal Record as one of 29 Oklahoma businesses and organizations to receive a 2026 Empowering Women Award. These awards celebrate organizations that create workplace cultures that strengthen and empower women.

I was honored to accept this award on behalf of Redlands and proud to share the evening with several remarkable women from our campus: Macey Scotten, Tara Douglas, Dr. Rachel Cockrell, Tara Morgan, Dayna Rowe, Annie Pearson, Dr. Kacey Daniels, Kim Andrade, and Dr. Kate Coughlan.

At Redlands, we are proud to cultivate an environment where women are supported, encouraged, and empowered to lead. That commitment extends beyond our employees to the many female students we serve. Through education, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and a strong campus support system, we are helping women build confidence, achieve their goals, and create brighter futures for themselves and their families.

The parking lots are full, the hallways are buzzing, and our students are back for the Fall 2026 semester!

I knew it was officially back-to-school season when I left for lunch and almost couldn’t find a parking spot when I returned and I loved every minute of it!

I even convinced a few incoming freshmen to stop and pose with me for a first day-of-school picture. These wonderful young ladies are new Redlands students and Beef Team members!

Enrollment is up in every category, and Redlands is on the move!

I also added a photo of our campus administration team. We are here to support you, answer your questions, and help you succeed, never hesitate to reach out!

Welcome to all our new and returning students! Let’s make it a great year!

Friday, we gathered for our All-Employee Fall In-Service, a wonderful day of collaboration, celebration, and preparation for another exciting semester at Redlands Community College!

As I begin my fourth year as President of this remarkable college, I am reminded of the incredible privilege I have to lead such an outstanding group of faculty and staff. Together, we are doing great things for our students, our community, and the future of Redlands.

We also had the honor of recognizing our employee longevity award recipients and celebrating their many years of dedicated service. I am deeply grateful for every Redlands employee and the important role each person plays in our continued growth and success.

Education changes lives, and we have the privilege of making that difference every single day!

Did you know that I teach a Business Leadership class?

The course begins the week of August 17 and combines online coursework with one live class each week on Thursdays at 9:30 a.m.

This is not your typical leadership class! We explore real-world lessons about the good (and the bad) of effective leadership while participating in hands-on activities designed to meet students where they are. Whether you are a first-time freshman beginning your college journey or a seasoned leader looking to strengthen your skills, this course has something for you.

Contact your advisor or stop by campus today to enroll. I would love to have you in class!
