The Charter of the United Nations was signed on 26 June 1945, in San Francisco, at the conclusion of the United Nations Conference on International Organization, and came into force on 24 October 1945.

Did you know that on this date in 1788 the U.S. Constitution was ratified and our nation's became a young Republic? Ironically, on this same date in 1964, the racist culture of Jim Crow in the Southern states bolstered the Ku Klux Klan's killing of three white civil rights activists in Mississippi for registering African Americans to vote. Where is our nation now on this date?
