JOB NEEDS DESCRIPTION:

Education: High School Diploma / GED required per employer policy.

Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office, able to navigate the internet, efficient use of personal computer, email.

Driver's License:
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required to be able to be insured to operate a company vehicle.

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check and fingerprint screen.
- CPR certified (can be obtained after hire).
- Food Handler's card (can be obtained after hire).
- First Aid Certification (can be obtained after hire).
- Flexible schedule from Mon-Sat.
- Must have the heart and patience to tend to children.

Duties:
- Supervise/teach children.
- Plan and develop curriculum/lesson plans and newsletters that are age-appropriate.
- Meet children’s physical and emotional needs.
- Provide responsive care giving.
- Organize, motivate, and be creative.
- May be required to pick up/drop off children to and from school.

Tasks (may include but are not limited to):
- Maintain a safe play environment.
- Observe and monitor children’s play activities.
- Communicate with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues.
- Sanitize toys and play environment.
- Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, and medications administered.
- Support children’s emotional and social development; encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- Identify signs of emotional and developmental problems in children and bring them to parents’ or guardians’ attention.
- Assist in serving meals and refreshments to children.
- Instruct children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
