• Zoom Link: https://washington.zoom.us/j/95773156358
• Abstract: This paper will walk the audience through the radical reimagining Unlearning Filosofía invites: A philosophy that is visible, communal, bilingual, and rooted at the border. From social media to community events, (Un)Learning Filosofía works to unlearn the barriers that have kept so many from seeing themselves as philosophers. Hi everyone,

The SMAP Executive Board would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the 2025 SMAP Summer Institute! We hope you found it to be a truly inspiring and transformative experience, filled with deeper insights, broadened perspectives, and most importantly new friendships! Very special thanks go to Profe DavĂd Carrasco, who gave an historic keynote that served as the perfect mic-drop to the institute. Additional thanks go to our many sponsors and donors. When we think of what we were able to accomplish together, we're reminded of Margaret Mead's famous quote about the power of a small group of thoughtful and committed people to change the world. We'd like to think that all of us collectively - planners, participants, sponsors, and donors - did a little of that over the last few days. We're extraordinarily honored, humbled, and grateful to be part of it! Until next time, heartfelt thanks to you all for your continued participation and support!

Sincerely,
The SMAP Executive Board
