In the Reggio Emilia approach, field trips (often called “study visits” or “excursions”) are crucial, child-led explorations that connect the classroom to the local
community, treating the city as a “third teacher”.

These outings promote experiential learning, curiosity, and community engagement, allowing children to research their interests in the real world 🌎

Thank you to for hosting our First Pres students for a day of exploration and fun!! 🤩

“The Hundred Languages of Children” is a famous poem and foundational philosophy by Loris Malaguzzi, founder of the Reggio Emilia approach, that highlights the diverse, creative ways children think and express themselves.

The “languages” refer to all forms of expression, including painting, sculpting, dance, music, drama, pretend play, and scientific inquiry. The Reggio approach seeks to provide environments and resources that nurture all these languages.
