This week, Cecilie Kern (MGA Global Research and Policy Advocate), and Izzy Salter (MGA intern) have journeyed to the border of El Paso, Texas and Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua for an immersion run by the Institute Justice Team of . The aim of the immersion is to learn about the root causes of migration, bear witness to the conditions faced by migrants on both sides of the border, and visit some of the faith-based organisations working tirelessly to accompany and support migrants along their journeys. So far, it has been an insightful and emotional trip, and we can’t wait to share our learnings with the Mercy World.

The Columban Mission Center joined the community of Parroquia Corpus Christi Anapra to remember Holy Friday and reflect on how Jesus Christ is crucified everyday as a result of the many injustices that are taking place in our communities.
