Young Women's STEAM Prep Academy

Today we said goodbye and best of luck to two pillars of YWA. Naomi Conner spent the last eight years helping to build YWA into the amazing campus it is today, first as a clerk, teacher, student activities manager, and finally college success advisor. Our attendance clerk, Monica Granados, retired today after working with EPISD for 31 years, 28 of which were at the same location. We will miss both ladies tremendously and wish them the best on their next adventure.

Congratulations Shaheli de Silva on being recognized tonight for her superior performance in both the English and Spanish spelling bees this year. She was the local champion for both and national qualifier. Best of luck at the Spanish national spelling bee later this summer.

This morning, our seniors crossed the stage and began an exciting new chapter. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see what they achieve next.

Volleyball Summer Workouts start tomorrow! Join us for a fun and competitive summer of training, skill-building, and teamwork.

Our new Student Council executive team met today with City Councilmember Canales, who represents District 8, home to the YWA campus, to brainstorm ways we can work together to make community improvements during the upcoming school year.

Thank you to Councilmember Canales and his team for their continued support of YWA and for investing in student leadership.
