JUNE 11 5pm at HQ! Bring a sign, water, & a friend! When budget cuts are proposed, the public deserves to know where they start. We have two asks. 1) line by line list of budget cuts and 2) what cuts have been made at the executive director and above.

Austin ISD has shared information about cuts affecting campuses and district staff. We need more transparency, especially regarding reductions at the executive director level and above.

If educators, support staff (including support staff based out of central office) and students are being asked to absorb the impact of a budget crisis, our community deserves a clear accounting of how district leadership is sharing in those sacrifices.

We’re calling for a line-by-line breakdown of proposed budget cuts and full transparency about reductions throughout the organization, including executive leadership.

Public dollars require public transparency.

Today, the Gina Hinojosa campaign hosted three important roundtable discussions on the effects of budget cuts on school districts in the El Paso, Dallas, and San Antonio areas.

The Ysleta Teachers Association teamed up with State Representative Vince Perez and Gina Hinojosa campaign advisors Jose Landeros and Chris Hernandez to host the El Paso event at the YTA office.

YTA hosted a rally for International Workers Day that was full of solidarity from union members and elected officials that support working people. We had many motivational speakers highlighting the need to prioritize workers over billionaires. Thank you to everyone that attended!
