There was something comforting about growing up on a street where every house felt familiar.
You knew the families, the kids, the shortcuts, and exactly whose mom was watching from the window.
A whole neighborhood really did help raise us.

The 80s had metalheads, jocks, preppies, skaters, mall girls, punks, nerds, new wave kids, and future rock stars all walking the same hallway.
Everybody looked different.
Everybody acted different.
Everybody had their own music, style, attitude, and personality.
Now every school looks like somebody copied and pasted the same three people 400 times from social media.
