Golden Key is an Honorary Society that recognizes the achievements of the Top 15 percent of most outstanding UTEP Miner students Educational/Academic programs.
The mission of the society shall be: To enable members to realize their potential by connecting individual achievement with service and lifelong opportunity. Activities of the University of Texas El Paso chapter shall be:
Community service projects. Other activities that are deemed necessary and worthwhile by the executive board. Graduation: Stoles are the selected form of graduation attire. Stoles may be purchased to wear with regalia at commencement.

UTEP's Mining Minds sculpture will be illuminated in blue and orange in honor of UTEP President Emerita Diana Natalicio, who died Friday, Sept. 24. The lighting will continue for 31 days to represent her years of leadership at the University.
