Hello SACNISTAS!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful end to their semester, and am wishing you all good grades!

Don’t forget to join us on Friday May 8th for our SACNAS Pachanga! It will be held at Madeline park from 12-4pm. Please be sure to by there by 2 for awards, stoles, and officer election announcements.

Please bring a shareable dish, folding chairs, blankets, water guns, and sports balls you may have to join in on the fun

✨️ My research focuses on the evolutionary genetics of plant-insect interactions in the Sonoran Desert. By studying the highly toxic native plant Datura wrightii and its specialist herbivores, I am able to explore the ways that insects overcome plant defenses. My fascination with plant-insect interactions began during a post-baccalaureate internship at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology. Since then, I completed my PhD at Indiana University and postdocs at the University of Arizona and John Innes Centre, before now starting my own lab as a presidential scholar at Arizona State University. When I'm not working, I enjoy playing drums, cooking fancy food for my friends, and hiking with my dog.
