READY TO BE AN ADULT?

🎉 Congratulations to Junior Achievement of the Desert Southwest and everyone who helped bring this exciting financial literacy experience to life!

ESC19 was honored to volunteer today and help kick off the first Junior Achievement Park Mobile Simulation at the Segundo Barrio Boys & Girls Club!

This interactive, hands-on experience gave young adults the opportunity to explore real-life financial decisions—from purchasing fast food and choosing a career to planning a family and buying a home. Through engaging stations, team and individual challenges, and a points-based competition, participants experienced how everyday choices can impact their financial well-being at every stage of life.

Our ESC19 Technology team volunteers had a fantastic time facilitating stations, learning alongside participants, and discussing the importance of making informed financial decisions. We’re excited to see this innovative program expand to help prepare high school students for financial independence and a successful future.

👏 Thank you, Junior Achievement of the Desert Southwest, for bringing these valuable learning opportunities to our region! We congratulate JA and all the participants on a successful kickoff and look forward to our continued collaboration in bringing fun, interactive learning experiences to our students and communities.

Starting TODAY through this Sunday, October 18, 2026, Texas residents applying for undergraduate admission to Texas public colleges and universities through ApplyTexas can apply without paying application fees.

To qualify, students must submit their applications by 11:59 p.m. CDT on Sunday, October 18. Applications started but not submitted by the deadline do not qualify for the fee waiver, so make sure to get yours in!

What an incredible time with students from Ysleta ISD!

These students joined us at ESC19 for a 2-day camp focusing on video production, podcasting, and cybersecurity!

We can't wait to see how these students use their newly acquired skills as they explore their education and prepare for the future!

🤖 What does thoughtful AI implementation look like across K–12 education?

On October 24, the AmplifyLearn.AI Center at the University of Washington, in partnership with Colleague AI, will bring together education and industry leaders for an Executive Thought Leadership Event at UW Seattle.

The gathering will create space for district leaders to share what they’re learning from real-world AI implementation, including what’s working, what isn’t, and the practices shaping district-wide adoption.

More than 80 district leaders will be part of the conversation, alongside leaders from philanthropy, nonprofits, research, technology, media and other sectors. Participants will also explore emerging AI technologies being developed for K–12 education.

💜 We’re excited to welcome this community of leaders to UW for an afternoon of learning, collaboration and conversation about the future of AI in education.
