We are excited to welcome Ms. Velasquez as the newest member of our Hartley leadership team!

Ms. Velasquez will serve as our new Assistant Principal, supporting our elementary students, teachers, and families. She officially joins us on Monday, August 31, and we are so excited to have her become part of our Hurricane family.

Don't forget picture day is this Thursday, August 27th. Students must be in uniform since these pictures will be used in our Hurricane yearbook. Order forms were sent out with students last week. Pictures can be ordered online or with exact change in the order form.

Hartley families, we are excited to partner with UTEP for the Project LEAP UP Family Workshop Series! Families are invited to participate in three sessions focused on helping children build strong early literacy skills through storytelling, songs, games, conversations, and fun reading activities.

📚 Session 1: Literacy Through Storytelling
August 25 at 8:45 AM

🎶 Session 2: Playing with Words
September 1 at 8:45 AM

📖 Session 3: Summer Reading Activities
September 1 at 8:45 AM

All sessions will be held at Coach Wally Hartley PK 8. We hope you will join us to learn simple, practical ways to support reading and language development at home. Together, we can help our young Hurricanes grow as confident readers! 💜💛

El Paso ISD parent-teacher conferences will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. on the following dates:

✅ Sept. 9: High School
✅ Sept. 15: Elementary School
✅ Sept. 17: Middle School & PK-8

❗Students will also have early release on their respective conference day.
