Just like that, Week Five of the 2026–2027 school year has come to an end! 💙💚✨ And this week, we have so much to be grateful for as we celebrated an incredible milestone—10 years of the Young Women’s Leadership Academy! 🎉

Ten years of empowering young women to lead, learn, and change the world. Ten years of academic excellence, leadership, opportunity, tradition, and countless memories. Most importantly, ten years of helping our young women imagine what is possible and giving them the tools and confidence to pursue it.

Success like this does not happen by chance—it happens by design. 💫 It is made possible through the collective commitment of our students, faculty and staff, families, alumni, community partners, and the continued support of the Young Women’s Preparatory Network. Each has played an important role in shaping the YWLA we proudly celebrate today.

Our 10th Anniversary Celebration was a beautiful reflection of that journey—from student performances and traditions to honoring the people, partnerships, and accomplishments that have helped define our first decade. Seeing our young women perform, lead, and represent their school with such pride was the perfect reminder of why this work matters.

To every family who has entrusted YWLA with their daughter, every educator who has poured into our students, every community partner who has invested in our mission, and everyone who has believed in the potential of our young women—thank you. 💙

We celebrate the first 10 years with tremendous gratitude, but we are even more excited about what comes next.

💙💚💛 Learning, Leadership & Community at YWLA! 💛💚💙

It was another great week at Young Women’s Leadership Academy!

We were excited to welcome our families to Parent Night, an opportunity to connect, share important information, and strengthen the partnership between home and school. We are grateful to our families for taking the time to join us and remain actively engaged in their daughters’ educational journey. 🌟

A special thank you to our amazing PTSO for hosting a delicious fajita sale during Parent Night! 🌮 Your continued support, time, and dedication help make our YWLA community even stronger.

We also extend our appreciation to Mr. Bralich for hosting our Senior Parent Meeting and helping our Class of 2027 families stay informed, prepared, and excited for the important year ahead. 🎓💙

Our learning didn’t stop with our students! Members of our YWLA faculty and staff also completed CPR certification training, gaining valuable skills that can make a critical difference when every second counts. ❤️‍🩹

At YWLA, leadership is about being prepared, staying connected, and working together to create a safe and supportive environment where our girls can thrive.

The TACAC Regional Evening College Fair returns to El Paso on Thursday, Aug 27, from 6:00–7:30 PM at the YISD Central Office Atrium! 🎓 A great chance for students to meet colleges from across the country and plan their future.
