‼️SHARE‼️ Adoptable Rabbit - Please Read All
🤍 She will be rehomed with the following items, her playpen, her toys, extra hay, litterbox + bedding, doggy pads, blanket, and hide-out house 🤍
Love:
Female (spayed)
Giant checkered mix
3 years old (Birthday in late winter)
2.75kg
Very well litter trained
Last vet check: 11/21/23
Vaccinations up to date
Personality:
Very timid and shy with humans. Does not like to be man-handled or cuddled. VERY aggressive with other rabbits (regardless of bonding). Never bites humans. She easily stresses out, resulting in smaller bowel movements. Please pay attention to make sure she doesn’t bloat. Very curious and enjoys exploring inside safe areas without disturbance. Enjoys being in your presence but at a distance. Really keeps to herself especially without a barrier between her and you/animals.
Home Requirements:
Must be a single-bunny home. She’s very aggressive with other rabbits. I haven’t seen her with other animals before but she easily stresses out so it’s best to keep her separated.
She enjoys free-roaming in her own space. Does not enjoy the outdoors. She’s a big-time chewer so give her plenty of stick-like toys or else she’ll gnaw on your walls.
Isn’t fond of being held or cuddled. She’s very timid with humans so she’ll only tolerate petting.
Diet:
- Hay (Timothy or Orchard grass + Timothy mix is fine)
- LOVES fruits: Berries (straw, blue, rasp, black), apples, bananas, melon, cantaloupe, and home-made smoothies with rabbit-safe ingredients
- Romaine lettuce, cilantro, parsley, celery (small quantities so she doesn’t choke), carrots (small quantities), bell peppers
- 1/4 daily Oxbow pellets for adult rabbits
Likes:
- Quiet
- Her own big space, doesn’t like other rabbits
- Chewing on toys and food
- Sleeping in her litter box
- Exploring inside safe areas
- Hide-out houses
- Digging and puzzle mats for food
- Gentle massages on her jaw
Dislikes:
- Rabbits
- Outside
- Sudden movements and loud noises
- When you’re not on her level height-wise
- Cuddling
- Being held
- Being petted for too long

Getting my hamster Socrates ready for his Annual Exotic Vet appointment at Veterinaria Exopet's Juárez, and within minutes HE ATE THROUGH HIS PLASTIC CARRIER. He is such a menace! I got him a plastic carrier because he ate a hole through every fabric carrier we own.
We cannot contain this little guy! 🐹😂🤍
🐰🤍 Part 2: Thank you all again for waiting in this line! It never got shorter and Bassett sent security to wait at the back of the line near closing time because our line only got longer! We appreciate all your support and we will see you AGAIN, NEXT YEAR! 😄✨

🐰🤍 Part 1: Some photos from our Bassett Place Easter event! We had so many visitors (600+ people in 4 hours) that we were not able to take as many photos during the event so please enjoy some before photos mixed in!
Our goal was to introduce proper rabbit care and hopefully deter people from impulsively “buying” rabbits for Easter! Our event was a HUGE success and people seemed to really receive our message and support our organization! We are grateful for the opportunity to help the community and share these messages and we are even more thankful for our Followers and Friends that have supported our mission even if it seemed niche in a place like El Paso.
We received so many donations from the event that we are going to be able to spay and neuter the rest of our rabbits in our care, pay for all their vaccinations, pay for several dental surgeries that were pending, which means we will be opening up Adoption opportunities after Easter weekend! Thank you to all who attended and donated!
❕Thank you for all the Bunny Parents that brought their rabbits to be showcased in our event❕

Many bunnies accompanied by their Bunny Parents will be at this event Saturday! We will have over 30 rabbits present at this event! 🐰🤍
We will be going over overall proper rabbit care, expectations when caring for a rabbit, dietary restrictions, rabbit diseases and much more! You will also be able to get in the playpens and interact with the rabbits at the event and take pictures with them. We do have rules that must be followed so everyone is safe during the event. We are so excited to see you all at the event!
