The sewing workshop participants were primarily women from Central America who were unable to enter the United States due to MPP or Title 42. The workshop gave them the opportunity to earn income while waiting. Some of the participants have since been reunited with family members in the United States to await their immigration court hearings.

Together We Move Forward. Many people don’t know Ciudad Nueva even though it has been present for 15 years- people are more preoccupied with everyday life but never realize what is going on in their community and how we can help one another. I am hopeful that we can keep helping the community and for the community to help us to be united.

Juntos Seguimos Adelante.
