Congratulations to our first Panther Award Winners of the year!

Today, we had the pleasure of interviewing our 4th grade candidates for our student leadership team. These students filled out an application, asked for a letter of recommendation, and of course sat for an interview.

Prior to the interviews, each candidate was taught about professional interview attire, a proper handshake, answering a question when you’re nervous, and setting yourself apart by sending a thank-you card to your interview panel.

Our panthers did an incredible job and really impressed the panel today. Their futures are bright!

Yesterday, Mrs. Pound's first graders became scientists AND ice cream makers!
After watching a Mystery Science video about how ice cream is made, they put their learning into action and made their very own homemade ice cream!
They had so much fun learning about the science behind freezing, mixing, and turning simple ingredients into a delicious treat. And, of course, the best part was getting to taste their creations!
Learning is always a little sweeter when you can eat your experiment!
