Rocky is a 2015 Tri-Colored 1/4 draft Pinto gelding that stands 15.2 hh, is stalky, big b***d, has great feet. Rocky is a sweetheart, loves attention, and will certainly steal your heart. He is enjoyable to be around, comes right up to you to be caught, stands tied quietly, has excellent ground manners, and is good with other horses. Rocky has many trail miles and is an excellent trail horse, has been to the high country, camping, pony another horse, has carried a pack, and is excellent for overnight trips. He goes out on trail alone, in a group, or ponying another horse. He has no problem going through water, has seen deer, turkey, coyote, and other wildlife and had participated in moving cattle.
In the arena, he is a smooth mover, picks up leads nicely, and has a nice stop and back up. He moves off of leg pressure, responds with direct and indirect rein, side passes, and is great at opening/closing gates. In the past he’s been used for all aspects of ranch work including loading trucks, sorting pairs, working the feed lot, pony colts, branding, doctoring, and checking herds.
Rocky also rides English, goes over small jumps, rides great in dressage, and would make a fun all-around English mount. Rocky is a super fun gelding that is ready to hit the trails/ranch or in the arena. Recently had his teeth done and is UTD on shots.
