The library’s incredible float from the 2026 Grizzly Fest Parade! 🐻💜🎉 There was a little bit of wind and rain, but nothing that we couldn’t handle. This float won 3rd place, what do you think?

In the true spirit of Butler, the library’s parade float was created through the joint efforts of our incredible student workers and our awesome librarians! An extra special shout out to our students Kay, Kristen, and McKenna for all of your hard work. It was a long road but together we built something that we were truly proud of 🐻💜📖

Due to the water main break on the El Dorado campus, the L.W. Nixon Library will be closed on Monday, August 24th. If you need assistance, the Andover Campus library will still be open as usual on Monday.

Highlights of the library’s float from the 2026-27 Grizzly parade! The float was built by our librarians and the incredible work of our awesome student workers! The bear, robot, and books were made out of paper mache and cardboard. Stay tuned for pictures of the making of the float 💜

Whether it’s your first time or you are a regular, it has been so awesome to see you all in the library! Keep in mind throughout the semester that if you need a place to study, research help, or fun activities to relax with, the library is here for you 🐻💜📖

If you need a break from the first week of school stress, stop by and make your own vision board for the semester or try Library iSpy. We also have a cool new reading challenge that you can start anytime this semester. If you have any questions just let us know!
