Jordan has started his SAE—composting. He takes food scraps and yard waste and puts them into a bin. He drilled holes to allow air circulation and adds water for faster breakdown. We had a conversation about what could be added to help—discussing adding worms to his operation. We’re excited to see where this goes Jordan!

Hailey works with beef cattle for her SAE. She takes care of a small herd, where she feeds, checks, gives mineral, and other daily chores. She also has a few head of cattle of her own that run with the main herd. Outside of her cattle, she works at Camp Galilee where she helps in the dining hall and with the horses. Keep working hard, Hailey!

Grace has a diverse animal SAE. She owns a couple horses that she breeds and she has rabbits! The rabbits she raises are then sold all across the state! She also helps groom dogs for her placement SAE and cleans horse tack on the side. We enjoy learning from her at each visit! Keep working hard Grace!

Taylor works on all types of motors! While visiting, he showed us a lawnmower that he changed the motor on! He explained how ‘easy’ it was, then told us about all the other projects he has going on. He works on motors and anything mechanical. He also works at Bigfoot Lanes as a maintenance man and also in the kitchen as a line cook. In his ‘spare’ time, he mows and weedeats for a local business. Keep up the work Taylor!
