"Words and hearts should be handled with care for words when spoken and hearts when broken are the hardest things to repair."

Our words and actions are powerful, and they can be used in encouraging or damaging ways. Now more than ever, it is vital that you THINK before you speak.

What is THINK?
T: Truthful
H: Honest
I: Inspiring
N: Necessary
K: Kind

We all have situations where we speak without thinking of the long-term impact of our words, which very well could negatively impact our future relationship with the individual on the other side of the conversation. By using THINK in your everyday life, work and personal, you will start realizing that so many negative situations can simply be resolved.

So remember, listen to both sides of the conversation, and follow the 5 rules of THINK.

The terms "Coach" and "Mentor" are often used interchangeably, but in reality, they are actually two different roles!

What is a mentor?
"Mentoring is when someone with seniority offers informal advice to someone with less experience,". The relationship between a mentor and a mentee is often a longer term relationship, where the mentee can ask questions as they advance in their own roles.

What is a coach?
The International Coaching Federation (ICF) defines coaching as “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential”. This relationship is often shorter than a traditional mentoring relationship because a coaching relationship is more goal-oriented rather than development driven

Now the big question: What do I consider myself (coach or mentor)?
It is my belief that mentoring is vital for everyone, especially those individuals looking for career growth within their business or organization. However, I consider myself a coach because it is my goal to provide my knowledge and resources that will not only allow you to build your personal goals and achieve them, but continue growing professionally and eventually move on from my coaching services.
