Chess Club is back at OLG, and we might even have some future “Grandmaster” players in our midst! Chess Club is a great place for students to strengthen their critical thinking and problem-solving skills while also learning a fun game and forming new friendships! We are very excited to watch our Phantoms improve every week!

A little snapshot of 8th Grade Retreat!

Retreat is time away from school where the 8th graders have the opportunity to reflect on their relationship with God and each other. Although the focus is on these deep conversations, we had to share some of the fun activities they did that also helped bring this class even closer!💙

Huge shoutout to our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Team! It is hard work teaching 3 different grade levels, but you wouldn’t know it with these amazing teachers! We are all excited to see the awesome work coming from this group this year!💙

What a fantastic Friday with our superstar scientists in 6th grade! They performed an experiment testing the chemical reactions between hydrogen peroxide and different kinds of yeast. Can’t wait to see all of the cool experiments to come this year!

Welcome to our first Student Showcase of the 2023-2024 school year! The theme of today’s showcase was “Community”! Students displayed some of the amazing work that they believe represented their learning community. There were so many awesome posters, projects, and worksheets that we were able to share with fellow students and parents!💙

We had some extra help at pick up courtesy of Father Lauro, Father Marc, and our new seminarian Mr. Lopez! It was an awesome start to the week!💙

Buddy activities are back!! The 8th graders were getting to know their 1st grade buddies this week and it was so sweet watching these new friendships form!💙

If we could all take a moment and give Mr. Dan Breslin a HUGE round of applause👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
He has played an instrumental role in keeping OLG running smoothly. Both the school and parish community are grateful for all of Mr. Breslin’s hard work over the years! As much as we don’t want to see him go, we wish him all the best in retirement!💙

Wow! ASB is really working hard on their first projects of the year! Can’t wait to see what awesome spirit days, assemblies, and activities they have in store for us!

This was a week of firsts in 1st Grade!💙

It was their first full week, first time completing daily homework, and first time taking a spelling test (which they all rocked)! Mrs. Schulte, Mrs. Shortley, and Mrs. Ruiz thought they earned a special treat for all of their hard work! What a great way to start the weekend!

Science was soaring this week with Mrs. Buck and Mrs. Durr!

2nd Grade was putting their building skills to the test by constructing the tallest tower possible from different materials🏗️🧱 Some of the 4th graders were analyzing if select statements were more or less scientific🔬🧪

We just had to share some of the awesome bulletin boards from Mrs. Hetherington and the 4th graders! The students are working very hard to be models of this year’s school theme and create a positive environment in and out of the classroom!💙 Way to go 4th Grade!

Thank you 2nd grade for the unforgettable End of Year Prayer Service! They perfectly summed up our school theme of L.O.V.E. while getting us all dancing in our seats! A big thank you to Mrs. Oriondo, Mrs. Durr, and Mrs. Bermudez!❤️

Today in 4th grade, we took a trip back to 1849! The amazing Gold Rush experience has made a return and it was so much fun!! Getting to shake their own ice cream was definitely a fan favorite! A big thank you to Ms. O’Brien, Ms. Tromley, and all of the volunteers that made today possible!

Houston might have a problem, but we sure don’t in 5th grade!

Our 5th graders had an in-school Mars Rover field trip today where they had to build their own version of the Mars Rover and complete field tests to see if their creation could withstand different terrain. It was amazing seeing how many future engineers we have!

Another memorable day in 1st grade! 🍩Donuts with Dad🍩 was so much fun and seeing all of the dads in their new designer ties was even better! Make sure you keep those ties in a safe place because we just had an 8th grader’s dad wear the tie his daughter made in 1st grade to the 8th Grade Family Picnic! ❤️

We would like to introduce OLG School’s ASB Commissioners and Representatives for the 2023-2024 school year.

We look forward to next school year and seeing all the amazing ways this group will lead and serve our school!💙

What a beautiful day for the 8th grade to take a walk down memory lane! The 8th graders spent one of their final days on the field doing fun activities with every class! It was a great way to say our goodbyes and wish this class the best of luck in their new adventures! We can’t believe graduation day is almost here!💙

We have to give a HUGE shoutout to one of our 8th graders! Gannon Hayes was chosen as one of the top ten diocesan winners for the 2023 8th Grade Serra Essay Contest! Congratulations Gannon! We are so proud of you!💙

Another reason we love our students…they work hard inside AND outside the classroom! Our Campus Care Group has been working all year with Mrs. Ruta to help clean and maintain our beautiful campus!💙🌳🪴☀️

The 3rd and 4th graders were lucky enough to be able to learn about some really cool animals and even pet a few! Gabe the Rosy Boa was definitely a fan favorite!
A HUGE thank you to Miss Amanda and Mr. Larry from Zovargo for bringing in and teaching us all about these wonderful critters!

✨5th grade took us on a walk through the stars!✨
The 5th graders shared their detailed research on different types of stars with their parents and other students. They were also able to do a moon phase activity and play science Pictionary, which was particularly competitive!💫🌘🔭

Today, our first group of 8th graders gave their final presentations of their OLG careers. These 8th Grade Grad Talks give us insight on how these students have modeled the Schoolwide Learning Expectations during their time at OLG and how they will continue to model them in the future. Amazing job to all of the 8th graders that presented today and we look forward to the rest of the Grad Talks this week!💙

When Mrs. Wallace gives you lemons… you make lemonade!🍋 4th grade just finished reading "The Lemonade Wars" and had so much fun bringing the book to life!!

One word to describe today… AMAZING!!

We all had so much fun at the Amazing Grace Race!! Such a colorful day that all of the kids (and their washing machines) will remember! A giant thank you to Mrs. Bessom, Mrs. Ruta, and all of our awesome volunteers! This fantastic day wouldn’t have been possible without you!💙

Welcome to Volume City!

Who knew we had so many young architects at OLG! The 5th grade class has been studying volume, area, and perimeter in Math. They were then given the task to use all of that knowledge to make their own cities and they sure did deliver! What a great hands-on activity that helped bring math to life!💙

Wow, this year sure has gone by quick! Today the 8th grade class took their class graduation pictures! We had to get some fun pics outside too with this awesome group! Only a few more weeks until graduation!!💙

It's election season here at OLG!

This week we are watching the awesome campaign videos from prospective ASB members and voting for the 2023-2024 Our Lady of Grace ASB! Good luck to all of those running! It's going to be an exciting week!💙

Happy Mother's Day to all of our amazing mothers! Thank you for being there for every scraped knee, soccer practice, late night study session, and so much more! You have all taught us strength, kindness, and love!

Wow! This Teacher Appreciation Week was so much fun thanks to the PTG, Room Parents, and Head Room Parents!!! The themed lunches and beautiful posters were definitely the highlight of everyone's week! From all faculty and staff, thank you for all of your hard work, not just this week but all year! Our school wouldn't be the same without you all💙

We had such an amazing day at the🌵🏜Kindergarten Science Publishing Party🐠🌊 The children were extra excited to share it with their families and show them all of their hard work! The Kindergarteners took us through their research and writing process before showing us the beautiful books they each created! Special thanks to Mrs. Buck, Mrs. Elizondo, and Mrs. Smith for creating a day we will all remember!💙
