The San Diego & Imperial Counties Community College’s invite you to join this month’s forum that will feature a regional program highlight from Barbara Juncosa, Ph.D. Biomanufacturing Department Chair & Professor, about the Biomanufacturing Bachelor's Degree Program (BDP) at Mira Costa College. In addition, Geoff Toner, MS, MB (ASCP), Director of Curriculum Development at Jefferson Institute for Bioprocessing (JIB) will share about their advanced training pathways in bioprocessing and give an interactive tour of the JIB lab facilities. He will also highlight how the JIB provides the opportunity for our regional Biomanufacturing BDP students to continue their advanced training in collaboration with the JIB’s 1-year M.S. program as well as an Industry-Sponsored PhD in Bioprocess Engineering. This pathway offers a potential decrease in a student’s education timeline by 2-5 years, plus concurrent employment.

Sharing: The Health Care Communicators of Southern California will be accepting applications for our 2020 Scholarship between April 1st, 2021 until June 30th, 2021.

High School seniors and college students currently enrolled in a San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, and Los Angeles school district who plan to enter the field of health care upon graduation are invited to submit an application for the opportunity to win a minimum of a $2000 scholarship, courtesy of AMN Healthcare, the title sponsor of The Finest Awards.
