The event will be held at Young Actors Theatre located in Grossmont Center Mall.

It is FREE to attend. 🎟️

Students will sing songs that are opposite of themselves and their usual type casting.
This concert will be such fun!

Volunteers from YAT will be on hand selling concessions as well as accepting donations for their amazing programs.

I can’t wait to see these students step outside of the box and perform their hearts out. ❤️

Happy New Year!

This was an incredible year filled with once in a lifetime moments and memories.
First up was Nunsense. The hilarious All directors fundraiser production to benefit Young actors Theatre.
Co directed by my wife with assistance from Staring .elaine
Each of these Sisters gave so much to the project and I know it brought so much joy to our students.
Next we have Popstars ’s audience favorite 90’s jukebox musical. This show was full of super catchy throwback tunes, iconic 90’s fashion moments and the most cohesive low key cast ever. The show was directed by me with Jerrica as MD and .winbush slaying it as choreographer.
Team Talent Performing Arts had a record breaking competition season. We won all of the top spots in every category we entered at ALL of our competitions last season. We also took 16 trophies 🏆 and two national championship banners in Las Vegas. also received an all time record breaking solo score at our final regional competition of the year. Our Six supergroup slayed the game and snatched up awards like crazy. Congratulations to the reigning national champions. We also had several recital concerts including the Golden Microphone Awards, Character Cabaret and the Family Choice Concert. Thank you to the community judges. It was a total blast to see some of the parents perform alongside their young singers.
We ended the summer with the smash hit Bring It On at Cuyamaca College. The show brought together some of San Diego’s top young talent. It included high flying cheer stunts, upbeat music and some gag worthy dancing and singing. What a treat to get to collaborate with long time creative partner It was also a blast to bring in to work alongside Jerrica as Co-Music Directors. On top of all of this, students performed in shows at school and in youth and community theatres. Many even did professional work and gigging that was quite impressive. I am so proud of what we were able to accomplish together in 2023! As we head into 2024 let’s shoot for the STARS! #2023

I am very proud of the work we all did on Bring It On. I especially want to thank Jenn Harris for her beautiful and innovative choreography. As well as the entire Bring It On cast and crew. I also want to give congratulations to my students Brooklyn Justice .justice06 & Amani Solorio on their nominations. I can not think of two more deserving young artists.
